Paid plans renew automatically. The first-week Free allowance starts with your first Default Agent request and can only be claimed once per account. Free credits refresh every seven days after the first week. Paid credits refresh with each successful monthly renewal. Unused credits do not roll over. Cancel through Manage or cancel subscription; access continues until the end of your paid period.
Plan changes apply after payment confirmation, with prorated charges or credits shown in Stripe. Changing plans preserves usage within the current billing period. If renewal payment fails, paid credits end when your paid period expires; Free credits remain available.
Use the same StashBase account here and in the desktop app. After subscribing, return to the app; your credits refresh automatically.

Is StashBase free?
The app is. It is free and open source under Apache 2.0, and writing with your own Claude Code or Codex costs nothing extra. Your first week includes extra Default Agent credits, starting when you first use the Agent. After that, a smaller free allowance refreshes every seven days. No credit card required. Plus and Pro include Agent credits that refresh with each monthly subscription renewal.
I already pay for Claude. Do I need Plus or Pro?
No. Claude Code and Codex run on the Anthropic or ChatGPT account you already have, and StashBase adds nothing on top. Plus and Pro are for writing with Default Agent, when you have neither.
How do I subscribe to Plus or Pro?
Sign in on this page using the same StashBase account as the app, then choose a plan. Stripe handles payment. You can also open this page from Settings → Agents → Plans and billing.
What happens when my Agent credits run out?
Default Agent pauses until your credits renew, or you can subscribe to a paid plan or move from Plus to Pro. Paid credits are counted across your monthly billing period. Upgrading increases your limit and keeps the credits already used in that period. Browsing, editing, keyword search and Claude Code or Codex keep working.
Do you offer discounts?
Enter your promotion code at Stripe checkout. Each campaign has its own discount, eligible plans, duration, expiry, and redemption limit. Checkout shows the discount and renewal terms before you pay. Your plan’s credits stay the same.
