What you need

Agent StashBase writes with Claude Code, Codex or Antigravity, on the subscription you already have. If one is not connected yet, the app shows Connect Claude, Connect Codex or Connect Antigravity and sets it up.
No agent? Sign in to use the built-in Default Agent, which comes with free credits.
Account Browsing, editing, file preparation and keyword search need no cloud account.
Search Search by meaning is optional and needs your own OpenAI or OpenRouter key.

Notes

macOS Prefer Homebrew? It picks the right chip. brew install --cask liliu-z/stashbase/stashbase
Intel Mac On macOS 12 to 14, browsing and editing work; local search and PDF or image text extraction need macOS 15.
Windows The current build is unsigned. If SmartScreen appears, choose More info → Run anyway.
Linux Install with sudo apt install ./StashBase-*-linux-amd64.deb. Other distributions have no official package yet.
